“I AM – The Light of the World”

“Celebrate God. Sing together—everyone! All you honest hearts, raise the roof!” That’s what David calls us to do in Psalm 32:11. And that’s our heart here at KGF, to celebrate God, who He is, and what He has done for us! I hope that’s the attitude that you wake up with each day.
We are in week two of our seven part series looking at the “I AM” statements of Jesus. This weekend, we turn the light on, as Jesus says; “I AM the Light of the World”. Not only does Jesus claim to be the light, but he calls us to be light as well. What does that mean, practically, for us today?
As we move through this series, I encourage you to sign up for the “Gospel Challenge”, reading one chapter of John every day for 21 days. I know for me it has been a blessing already, as I see the story of Jesus unfold in front of me.
This weekend we kick off our “Christmas in July” campaign for the Kelowna Food Bank. Our goal is 1000 pounds of food, which will feed 50 families for five days. We can’t do it without your contribution, so pick up a bag before you leave. Let’s live out our mission statement, “Impacting Lives with the Love of Christ!” I was so encouraged with the $3,700 raised for the Okanagan Valley Pregnancy Care Center. Let’s exceed this new goal as well!

This will be a great chance to meet other new people, share a bit of your story, and hear the heart behind this church family.
